Last week I sent out a reminder about SMART goals, as it was New Year’s Day and seemed an appropriate reminder.

Today I want to address something about attaining more long term goals, and suggest an approach to conquering the seemingly unconquerable.

Many times, when we set goals, we encounter a lot of unforeseen barriers and obstacles. These can be super frustrating and if you’re anything like me, will often cause you to abandon a goal or project entirely, deciding that its just not worth the trouble.

But nearly every worthwhile pursuit is going to present challenges, so how do we push through them?

May I suggest an alternative to approaching our goals. One that doesn’t require sheer grit and stubbornness to “push through” but rather removes barriers before they become a hinderance.
